And it's probably going to be very difficult for you to do it if you're running your site off of a free server. The only way to guarentee privacy and security is to run your own server. But that requires a lot of money and a lot of programming knowledge, or someone to do it for you. Where I work, we do this through Perl scripting and a very complicated authentication program, to keep our members in and others out. Get your information up online, give people a reason to visit you. Don't worry about the look too much when you're first starting out. Don't try anything too flashy, or which detracts from the important content. Make sure your site looks good in different browsers and different versions (Netscape 3 and 4, Explorer 3, 4, and 5). : : And learn HTML. I see you build your site with FrontPage. It's a good thing to start out with as you're building your HTML skills, but knowing the language is primarily important. You can't get a professional-looking site unless you know HTML. : : Good luck! : .htaccess I think is the common method..it is not that complicated altough you wont have that at most free servers
